Temporary Construction Services

Construction planning guide

Construction Fence Layout, Gates, and Boundary Staging

Plan perimeter lines, gates, delivery access, and changing work areas before temporary fencing is installed.

01

Map the working perimeter

Start with property and active-work boundaries, public-facing frontage, material areas, neighboring uses, and places where the line may move. A marked site plan or clear aerial view is useful.

02

Place gates around real site movement

Identify crew entry, deliveries, equipment movement, and emergency access. Gate type and location should support the traffic pattern without creating unnecessary conflicts.

03

Separate public and work areas

Call out sidewalks, occupied buildings, sales areas, material storage, and other interfaces where the boundary needs particular attention. Confirm local requirements rather than assuming one layout fits every site.

04

Stage changes by construction phase

Grading, vertical construction, utility work, and finish work can use the site differently. Discuss expected moves, screening interest, and access changes before installation.

05

Information for an estimate

Share approximate perimeter length if known, a sketch or plan, gate count and uses, surface conditions, screening needs, installation timing, and the site contact responsible for access.
